Anne Arundel County Farmer's Market Tour

We noticed several substantial signage for the Dunkirk Farmer's market on 4. Advertised for Thursdays from 2:30-5:30.

We were there. At the time. The park itself is very beautiful, well maintained, and quite large. We drove the entire length, but no Farmers Market to be seen. We lingered about debating about our next move for the day.

We made the decision to take 301 North in evening traffic to see what is happening in Glen Bernie.

At Glen Burnie we found a modest group of vendors AND some OUTSTANDING cookie vendors. We will try your chocolate chip. Immediately. Name your price. It is truly unfortunate that due to complications, both legal and logistical, it is difficult to sell milk along with such delicious goodies. so first...

Get the Raspberry Mocha from Ephesians Coffee. It was delicious.

We particularly enjoyed cookies from Iconic Desserts.. We got the Fluffernutter. Chocolate Chip, and Banana Pudding cookies as well as an Orange Creamsicle Cupcake. One of the best parts about her booth is she gives away samples of each item so you can try it before you buy it. Her packaging was simple and easy to read. I don't love that she uses canola oil, but then again I think it may be a subsidiary ingredient and she just has it labeled wrong, because I doubt she adds whey and soy lecithin to her products. It's probably in the chips or marshmallow she buys and uses. I digress...

Her Fluffernutter Cookie was really good. I believe it was a peanut butter cookie with peanut butter chips and a marshmallow in the center. I wish there was a little more marshmallow for more of a fluffernutter taste, but it is hard getting a lot of marshmallow inside a cookie. The Banana Pudding Cookie was very banana-y! It had white chocolate chips and a marshmallow in the center as well. I thought the marshmallow was a little weird, but it sort of worked and gave the cookie a creamy texture in a way. I did wish it didn't have chips though. They threw off the texture, to me. Finally the Chocolate Chip is a classic. This one was LOADED with chips. Can't go wrong. All of the cookies were very soft, however also just slightly too sweet. Overall great cookies. I would get all of them again, but definitely the Chocolate Chip.

The cupcake was delicious as well. It was crazy how she nailed the flavor! Definitely recommend going to her!

Next up, Baking in the Glen - BEST RED VELVET COOKIE. Didn't even snag a picture of this one. It was extra large like the Iconic Desserts cookies and also soft. It had three different chips in it, I believe chocolate, white chocolate, and cream cheese and sold for $3. My only complaint is it had red dye in it. I'd rather it just not be red. The other cookies we got were the Brown Butter Toffee Chocolate Crunch. They were smaller and came in a 4pk for $6 I believe. These were hard, especially compared to the red velvet, so maybe stick to the large cookies if you like soft and the small if you like crunchy.

The last bakery we went to was Little Bit Mo Sweet Treats. She sold a 3 pack of chocolate chip cookies for $5. They were thin and chewy with a caramel flavor from the sugar. Not sure about the ingredient quality because she doesn't have them listed on the packaging.

All in all you can't go wrong with any of the cookies!

We also snagged a Tropical Green Orchard mixed from Cane Collective. They had samples of all their mixers you could try. They also sold some simple syrups. All natural, real ingredients. No natural flavors. Definitely recommend.
