We ordered a variety of things from Tejas Barbeque and overall it was pretty good. Almost everything came packaged in paper, the brisket came in foil, and only the potato salad, sauces, and pickles were packaged in plastic. I appreciated the, for the most part, sustainable packaging, although I will say that almost everything leaked so be prepared to transfer everything to a plate, or lay down a tablecloth to wash afterwards.

The mains we got were the Brisket, Pulled Pork, Pulled Pork Sandwich, and Pork Belly. The brisket was fork-tender and I would recommend definitely dipping it in a sauce or adding salt as otherwise it was a bit bland. Same with the pulled pork, which I wouldn't exactly call pulled -- it was more cubed, although it was advertised as hand-pulled. It was topped with their Sweet and Sticky sauce and I would definitely order one or two extra sauces as it barely came topped with any as you can see in the picture. Both the brisket and the pulled pork came with the option of pickles. Note these were bread and butter pickles with a hint if heat. The pulled pork sandwich differed by being paired with the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce instead and topped with pickled onions on a toasted bun. The sandwich was quite sad. It was delivered disheveled and the toasted bun was barely toasted and a bit soggy. Normally I would just dismiss this because it was delivery, however, Tejas Barbeque is part of Wonder which is branded as takeout service where you can order from multiple restaurants in one order. Even so, the sandwich was also extremely light on sauce and I would again recommend getting extra. The pork belly, while technically not a main and classified as the restaurant's only starter was absolutely delicious! They rendered the fat beautifully to where it melts in your mouth. I would eat this as a main dish.

For sides we ordered two pieces of corn bread, the carrot souffle, pinto beans, queso and chips, coleslaw, potato salad, and a children's order of mac and cheese. The cornbread were nice big pieces, easily shared between two people, which a crunchy top. The only thing I wish is that they gave you a side of their orange honey butter as it could definitely have used more instead of just being brushed on top, although I love my cornbread with extra butter always. The carrot souffle was surprisingly the star of the show. It was a beautiful texter, not too soft, not too hard, and it was deliciously sweet. It reminded me more of a flan than a souffle and felt more like a dessert than a side, but I'm not complaining.

The pinto beans were a bit too watery and spicy for my taste. The queso and chips were pretty good. The chips were nice and crunchy and the queso was a good thick texture. It does have poblano peppers in it and you can definitely taste them if you don't like spice. The coleslaw was pretty classic, it had a good flavor and good crunch. There was a backend of spice to it that I couldn't place where it was coming from. The potato salad was honestly really sad and left something to be desired. The potatoes were cubed up very small along with a hard boiled egg, which I liked but it was lacking salt and just general flavor. The mac and cheese was alright. It tasted like a mac and cheese I've had before, maybe like Boston Markets. It wasn't amazing but good for a kids meal who wouldn't want any of the barbeque.
If we order again, I will definitely be getting the carrot souffle and pork belly. I would also order the brisket and instead try the ribs, everything sans pickles though as I personally think dill would have been a better suited choice. I'd also reorder the cornbread and potentially the queso. Everything else I could do without.
